The adventures and rants of being single, page 3

I think I want this but I don't have the time
My body wants you but my heart isn't blind
I'm catching feelings that will hopefully die but they're burning hotter than I usually like

Sobrang indecisive ko
I don't know what I want. Well, love life wise.
It feels like I want it but don't at the same time.
It feels like the feeling makes me happy but when it gets too serious, I feel like walking away.
Is that even normal?

Maybe I am just not ready yet.
But I always say that there's no such thing as someone being not ready... Maybe I haven't found the one.
Maybe I just have to think more, maybe I just have to stay long enough.
Maybe I shouldn't be afraid of taking risks.. after all, I've been through a lot and I came out stronger.

How tough is it to find someone you can see yourself in the future with but for some reason you can't commit?
How can you see your future with that person but won't try for the present?
It's all confusing. It's all complicated.
Maybe life is just supposed to be that way.. so that when the right one comes, it will all be worth it.

Dee @ 7

I can't believe how time flies so fast.
I can still remember how shocked I was when my grandma said that Tita Louise gave birth to a baby girl. We didn't even know she was pregnant!
This was Dee's 3rd birthday at The Villas, SBMA
And now, Dee just celebrated her 7th birthday.
I can say that she grew up disciplined and someone who knows that she has to earn for something she wants.

Birthdays are a little way for the family to get together.
It's always fun when we're together. We get to update each other on our lives and stuff.
Dee celebrated her 7th birthday at Halespot with the Strawberry Shortcake theme. lol Of course, we all know Tita Louise was the one who wanted that haha
The stage; Denisse @ 7
Strawberry shortcake balloons all over the place
Tita Louise didn't bake this cake. It was a bit dry for my liking. It was a red velvet cake btw
Yes, I spent most of my time on this table. This is what I came for
It was a typical 7th birthday children's party. Lots of kids, candies, and yup! There was a clown.
There are also 7 wishes, 7 candles, 7 dance.... in the program. I was one of the 7 candles. Lol
7 candles
Yes, she knows how to blow candles without spitting on the cake lol
Flower candles that will open up and play a tune when lit
Me and Tita Maan all in for wacky shots lol (Look at Tita Louise though hahahaha)
And of course, photo dump!!

Hairporn

Two years ago, I decided to step out of my hair comfort zone.

If y'all don't know, I had the same "layered, rebonded straight, sometimes with bangs" hairstyle since forever. I used to have long, layered, rebonded straight hair back in high school then I decided to cut it short when I was in college but still the layered, straight style. I kinda got addicted to having a short hair that whenever it passes through my shoulders.
I'm the one on the right, obviously. Lol This was at my Aunt's wedding
The start of cutting my hair short
Then shorter...
Decided to have bangs

Then bangs but shorter...
It became a mess eventually...
A year before I broke up with my then boyfriend, I decided to let it grow, let it grow. Hahaha. Okay, I'm so funny. Just cause I got tired of the short hair.
Long, rebonded straight hair
Then I got bored with my long, boring, straight hair.... That's when I decided to get digital permed and I loved it. I got medium curls for my first digital perm. It was nice. It was like my dream curly wavy hair in a nice way kind of hairstyle. Lol I had fun with it, styling it. It wasn't high maintenance at all. I just put moose or the hair cream and then twirl.
This was the day I just got permed
There are days that my curls just won't curl and will end up just wavy
After a while, I decided to color my hair. I mean, I love my natural brownish black hair but it was fun exploring and stepping out of your comfort zones.
I colored it red cause I was feeling all out lol
And for some reason, it will behave like this whenever I don't plan on going out
After a year, I decided to get small curls just cause I wanted to have the Fifteen Taylor Swift version of curls. Yes, I want it curlier. Hahaha. Well, I thought it was a disaster at first because it didn't look like that. Turned out I have too wavy hair that why it ended up like the curls were too loose but so small.
Close enough. Lol barely
But, eventually, it got nicer in time. And currently, I love how it is.
I love the volume of it now and, even after more than 6 months, curls were still tight
Believe it or not, I woke up like this. For real. I love just woke up curls
I think I may have gushed about my hair on this post too much that some people may think I'm weird. Hahahaha
But I just want to make a point that stepping out of your comfort zone, even just on a small thing like this one, is refreshing and somehow makes a difference. It may not be the one you expected at first but at least you tried right?

The adventures and rants of being single, page 2

Last Friday night, I had a date.
It was a nice, very light, fun night.
We really didn't know where to eat. He suggested sushi and wine but I don't eat sushi.
Yes, I'm Asian and I don't like eating sushi.
Anyway, so we just decided to go to this Italian restaurant.
It was a nice, cozy place and they had Basketball channel with NBA Game 7 replay on. Haha. All for the love for Stephen Curry.
It was so easy talking to him since we have a lot in common.
We are on the same field, so, it was easy as pie talking bout what I do and what he does.
It wasn't boring at all. It was kinda fun talking bout how we talked bout work. We were such nerds.
And me being me, of course, I noticed details. I'm a girl, that's normal.
Yup, I wasn't dreaming. This is real. That's him. Lol
I noticed how he knows his wine well. I told him how I wasn't fond of wines cause the last time I had wine, I didn't like it... but good Lord, the wine he picked was just perfection. It was great. It was awesome how he changed my opinion about wine.

I noticed how smart he is. He is very smart. He likes reading. He likes researching stuff. It was flattering how he said he thinks I'm smart too. *insert blushing emoji*.
I mean, I like to read and research bout stuff too. Especially when I'm really into it, I won't stop digging and talking bout it. I remember when I was so intrigued about the first men on the moon, I've read tons of articles and listened to the conversations radio operators picked during the mission.
OKAY, I KNOW, I'M A NERD. It was also nice how he said "Thanks" when I said "You're such a nerd".. like how I would normally respond when someone says I'm a nerd. Yeah, cause for me "nerd" is a compliment. It just means you're calling me a nerd cause you don't know much stuff on this like me. And he totally gets that!

I noticed how he looked at me when I first took a sip of the wine.. as if he was so hopeful that I would like it. I even said "Don't look at me. I get really expressive when I don't like something" and he just laughed.

I noticed how much he loves his job and how much he loves talking bout it. I know this will be a turn off for some girls but it really made me become interested in him more.

I noticed that he tipped 10% and I think that's an American thing. *rolling eyes emoji* lol

I noticed a lot of things and it's probably a bit creepy if I will continue telling everything I noticed. Lol
Wine & Pizza; This guy knows me so well already hahaha oh shit
We just got along so well.
We talked for hours. We talked about everything under the sun. We also watched funny videos on YouTube lol
One thing I will never forget is that he didn't laugh when I said I wanted to go take a day tour of North Korea someday. Instead of laughing at me or asking "Why" making it sound like a bad or a stupid idea, he said, "Me too!".
I know I sound like I'm so inloooooove or whatever but I feel like I found someone who gets me.
I know it looks like I'm all in for it but wrong.
I'm now having this battle with myself.. trying to just forget all about it.
I don't wanna be attached and I can feel myself going through that path and it fucking sucks
I can't even deal with it. You know that you're both on the same page but you're still doubting. It's all sick.
My attachment issues are so fucking messed up.
It's all just frustrating.
I think I overthink stuff too much. Okay, that sounded so redundant.
But to end this on a lighter mood, I had fun. It was definitely not the last time.
And even though he broke my "I don't let guys pay for my dinner", I loved every bit of that night.
Definitely one for the books... or for this case, blog worthy! :)
